Touchwood’s Plantations

The locations chosen for Touchwood’s managed forestry plantations meet stringent selection criteria to ensure the planted species thrives. Potential sites are assessed for their suitability and specifically whether the location is within the natural range of the species. Additional assessments are made regarding climate, water availability, soil type and condition, previous land use, the risk of damage from pests, disease and natural events, ease of harvest, proximity to market, the standard of local infrastructure and services, security and impacts on the local community and environment.

The Touchwood Group has plantation operations in 3 countries in the Asia pacific region: Sri Lanka, Thailand and Australia. We are constantly assessing the potential for new plantation locations in countries across the region
