Once planted the seedlings immediately become subject to the plantation’s Forest Management Plan.

The plan defines the silviculture objectives and how the resources are organized to achieve the objectives. Forest management plans specify irrigation, fertilization and maintenance targets and provide schedules to achieve those targets.

The plans help to identify areas where additional resources, closer monitoring or actions such as specialized training are necessary to ensure the expected results are achieved.
